Installation guide
Step 1: Install the Chrome extension
- Visit the SMS Reminder extension in the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- Confirm the installation when prompted.
The extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar.
Step 2: Log in to your SMS Reminder account
- Click the SMS Reminder extension icon in your browser toolbar.
- Sign in to your SMS Reminder account, or create one if you do not have one yet.
- The extension will connect to your reminder settings automatically.
Step 3: Schedule an appointment
Create or open an appointment using your preferred scheduling method. This may include:
- Google Calendar
- Online booking forms
- CRM tools
- Manual appointment workflows
Step 4: Add reminder details
- Enter the customer’s phone number.
- Choose when reminder messages should be sent (for example, 24 hours and 1 hour before).
- Save your reminder settings.
SMS Reminder will automatically send confirmation and reminder text messages before the appointment time.
Step 5: Let customers book through your booking page (optional)
SMS Reminder also provides a booking page that lets customers schedule appointments themselves. Your booking page connects to your calendar and shows available time slots.
You can share your booking page by:
- Sending the link directly to clients
- Adding it to your website
- Including it in your email signature
When a client books through your booking page, SMS Reminder sends the same confirmation and reminder messages you have configured, without any additional action from you.

Do I need an SMS Reminder account to use the extension?
Yes. The extension connects to your SMS Reminder account to send reminders. You can create a free account when you install the extension.
Can I use the extension alongside Google Calendar?
Yes. The extension works alongside Google Calendar and any other scheduling tool you use in your browser. It does not replace your existing calendar or workflow.
Can clients book appointments through the extension?
The extension is for sending reminders for appointments you schedule manually. For client self-booking, share your SMS Reminder booking page link, which you can find in your account settings.
What happens if I remove the extension from Chrome?
Your SMS Reminder account and any already-scheduled reminders remain active. You can continue managing reminders through the SMS Reminder web application at smsreminder.co.
