Collection: SMS Reminder for Shopify → SMS reminders & billing
Yes. Your customers can reply to their reminder in their own words, and SMS Reminder reads the reply and acts on it automatically. There's no code to enter and no special keyword to memorize.
What your customers can do
When a customer replies to a reminder, the app understands what they mean and responds for you:
Confirm — the appointment is marked confirmed automatically, and it turns green on your Google Calendar.
Cancel — the customer gets an acknowledgment and a link to rebook, and you're emailed.
Reschedule — the app sends the customer your booking-page link to pick a new time, and you're emailed.
Ask a question — the customer is told you'll follow up, and their message is emailed to you.
Anything it can't read — the customer gets a simple menu to confirm, cancel, or reschedule, and you're emailed. Nothing slips through.
Replies get an automatic smart reply — not a live person — and any reply that needs you lands in your inbox within a couple of minutes with the appointment details and the customer's number.
Replying by text or by link — both work
You can keep the confirm / cancel / reschedule link in your reminders. It works right alongside replies, so customers can tap the link or just text back, whichever is easier.
What it needs to be on
Two-way handling relies on a few settings being turned on in your account (all self-serve at smsreminder.co): Appointment Confirmations, rescheduling, your booking page, and email notifications. STOP and HELP are always handled automatically.
Good to know
Customers can request a reschedule by text, but they finish picking the new time on your booking page — they can't fully rebook inside the text thread.
Replies are understood in several common languages; anything outside them is emailed to you so you can handle it. For the current supported-language list and full detail, see Two-way texting: smart replies to your clients' reminder responses.
