Appointment types are the services clients can book on your booking page — for example a 30-minute consultation, a 60-minute session or a quick follow-up. There's no limit on how many you can create, so every service can live on the same booking link.

What you can do

  • Create unlimited appointment types on every plan, including the free trial.

  • Give each type its own duration, minimum notice and buffers.

  • Choose which Google Calendar each type books into — useful for different staff members, services or locations.

  • Pick a different SMS reminder template for each type, so reminders match the service.

Clients see all of your appointment types in one menu on your booking page and choose the one they need.

How to add an appointment type

  1. Log in to the SMS Reminder web app.

  2. Go to Settings and select the Booking Page tab.

  3. Click Manage appointment types.

  4. Click + Add Type.

  5. Give the type a name clients will recognise, like "60-minute consultation".

  6. Set the duration, and choose the calendar this type should book into.

  7. Optional: set a minimum notice period and buffers, and choose an SMS reminder template.

  8. Click Save.

Repeat these steps for each service. Your new type appears on your booking page straight away.

Good to know

If it's not working

  • A new type isn't showing on your booking page: refresh the booking page, and check the type was saved.

  • A calendar isn't in the list when you create a type: sync that calendar first under Settings → Calendars. If it still doesn't appear, check it's connected to your Google account.

  • No times are showing for a type: check your availability, and that the minimum notice isn't pushing all open times past the dates the client is looking at.
