Give each appointment type a location, and every client who books knows exactly where to be. Choose your address, a phone call, the client's own address, or a Google Meet video call with its own link for every booking. It's free on every plan.
Set a location
Log in to the SMS Reminder web app.
Go to Settings and select the Booking Page tab.
Click Manage appointment types and select an appointment type.
In Edit Appointment Type, choose an option under Location.
Fill in any details the option asks for.
Click Save.
The location options
None — no location is shown to clients. This is the default.
Google Meet video call — every booking gets its own Meet link, created for you.
In-person address — enter your address once. Clients can tap it to open it in Maps.
Phone call — you call the client at the number they book with.
Customer's address — clients enter their address when they book. Good for cleaners, trades and home visits.
Custom — any text you like, shown exactly as you write it. For example, "Coworking hub, 2nd floor. Enter through the back gate."
Where your clients see it
On the confirmation page, straight after they book.
In the confirmation email they get after booking.
In your Google Calendar event.
In your SMS reminders, if your template includes the right dynamic data (see below).
Clients don't see the location on the booking page before they book.
Put the location in your reminders
Your reminder only says where to go if your message template includes it:
For an address, phone call or custom text, add {eventlocation} to your template.
For Google Meet, add {videolink} to your template.
If the template linked to the appointment type is missing it, you'll see a note under Location with an Edit template button. See Message templates.
Google Meet video calls
When a client books, we create a new Meet link for that appointment. It goes into your Google Calendar event and into the client's confirmation page and email.
Note: The calendar linked to the appointment type must allow Google Meet. If it doesn't, the option is greyed out. Choose another calendar or another location.
Other Things to Know
Each booking keeps the location it was booked with. If you change the location later, only new bookings get the new one.
When a client reschedules, the location and the Meet link stay the same.
With Customer's address, the address field is required on your booking form.
Existing appointment types start with None, so nothing changes until you pick a location.
Location is set per appointment type. Give each service its own location if you work in more than one place.
