What your clients see when they book

The whole booking journey from your client's side, start to finish — so you know exactly what you're sending them to.

Written by Steve Lionais

If you haven't sent your booking link to anyone yet because you're not sure what turns up on their end, this is the whole journey, start to finish.

1. They open your link

Your booking page opens in their browser. No app to download, no account to create, and nothing to sign up for.

2. They choose what they're booking

If you offer more than one appointment type, they pick from your list. Each one shows its length.

3. They pick a time on the same screen

They see only the times you're actually free — your availability, minus anything already in your calendar, minus your notice period, booking window and buffers.

4. They enter their details

They fill in their name, the phone number your reminders will go to, and their email address. The email is required, because that's where we send their confirmation.

5. They're confirmed

They see a confirmation with the appointment details, including the location if you've set one. If you've turned on rescheduling, they can change the time from here later.

6. They get a confirmation email

A confirmation email arrives a moment later. It comes from your business name, and if the client replies, the reply goes to your email address. It includes:

  • The appointment, date, time and location.

  • Buttons to add it to Google Calendar or Outlook, or to download a calendar file.

  • A link to view their appointment, where they can reschedule if you allow it.

What happens on your side

The appointment lands in your calendar automatically, with the client's phone number and email in the event description. If you are on a paid plan and you've set the appointment type to activate reminders automatically, the reminder is scheduled using the number the client entered — you don't have to do anything.

What your client gets before the appointment

Your reminder arrives by text at the timing you chose. Clients can reply to it — see Two-way texting: can my clients reply to reminders?

Good to know

  • Clients never need an account. They book in a browser and that's it.

  • They only see times you're free. Your calendar stays private — clients see availability, never your existing appointments.

  • The page works on a phone, which is how most clients will book.

  • Returning clients save a step. On the same device, their email is filled in for them.

  • We only use the client's email for this appointment. We don't use it for marketing.

  • Want to see it yourself? Test your booking page before you share it takes two minutes.
