Collection: SMS Reminder for Shopify → Getting started

This step is required. The Book Now button is how customers book from your store. It's a theme app embed you turn on once — no code, no dragging blocks into place.

On any product you've linked to an appointment type, the Book Now button now takes the place of Add to cart. Customers pick a date and time, enter their details, and check out through your normal Shopify checkout. If the product is priced at $0, the booking is confirmed without a checkout payment. Every booking syncs to your Google Calendar.

You can verify in the Shopify in-app Admin by going to the Appointment types section > Actions > View, or by viewing the product in your online store, directly.

Don't see Book Now on a product? It only appears on products that are linked to an appointment type — see Link a product to an appointment type. If it's still not swapping, see Your product still shows "Add to Cart" instead of "Book Now."

You can style the button from the app's Booking button defaults section ("Customize how your booking button looks on product pages"):

Set them and click Save defaults. These apply to the Book Now button on your linked products.

You also have a shareable booking page you can send to clients or add to any website — find it in the Shopify app admin panel under Upcoming booked appointments > Share your booking page > Copy, for quick access.

You can also access your booking link from the web dashboard under Settings → Booking Page (Copy booking link or Add to your website).

Both methods are a handy alternative for older themes or for booking outside your store.

App embeds don't always carry over. If you change or update your theme, re-enable SMS Reminder Booking in App embeds on the new theme.
