For the SMS Reminder Shopify app. Using SMS Reminder with Google Calendar instead? See the general help center.
The Book Now button on your store always adds the appointment to the cart, so customers finish through Shopify checkout, even when the price is $0. If your customers have already paid, or you simply want them to pick a time, share your booking page instead. It skips the cart and checkout completely, and you already have one.
When to use your booking page
Customers have already bought something and need to schedule a pick-up, delivery, return, installation or collection.
You offer free consultations, calls or showroom visits.
You don't want appointments showing up as orders in Shopify.
Want customers to pay for the appointment when they book? Use the Book Now button instead. See Sell appointments through Shopify checkout.
What your customers do
Click a booking button on your store.
Choose the appointment type they need from your list.
Pick a date and time.
Enter their name, phone number and email.
Confirm. The booking is done straight away, with no cart and no checkout.
They get a confirmation email with their appointment details and links to reschedule or cancel. The appointment goes straight into your Google Calendar and shows in your upcoming appointments in the Shopify app.
Set it up
When you set up the Shopify app, you created a booking page and your appointment types at the same time. You just need to add its link to the buttons on your store.
Log in to the SMS Reminder web app with the same Google account you used to set up the Shopify app.
Go to Settings and select the Booking Page tab. Your appointment types are already here.
Copy your booking page link.
In your Shopify admin, open the page where you want customers to book and paste the link into your button. The button keeps your store theme's look.
Make a test booking to check it works. See Test your booking page before you share it.
Good to know
One link for every appointment type. All your buttons use the same booking page link, and customers pick the appointment type from a list. A button can't open one appointment type directly.
No payment step. Bookings on your booking page don't create a Shopify order. To charge for an appointment, use the Book Now button.
Your store isn't affected. Your products, orders, checkout and other apps keep working exactly as before.
It will not be synced to Shopify Products. Because the button links to a standalone booking page, these will not be accounted for in your Shopify order history.
One schedule for all types. Your booking page uses one weekly availability schedule. Minimum notice, buffers and booking window can differ per appointment type. See Customizing your availability.
Rescheduling is set per appointment type. See Allow clients to reschedule appointments.
It's free. Booking includes 1 user, 1 calendar and unlimited appointment types at no charge.
